Jose Sanchez

VP of Sales

Jose Sanchez started his career in rebar when he was 18 years old. He quickly rose through the ranks as a member of the Ironworkers Union, starting as an apprentice and ultimately into a leadership role as a Superintendent. While in the field he specialized in post-tension operations. Jose’s most recent achievement was the complex $315 million, 5.3 million pounds of paced rebar Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum renovation.

After 23 years in the field, six of which were with Martinez Steel, Jose transitioned into sales starting as a Sales Manager. Again, he quickly made his mark by combining his deep knowledge of rebar fabrication and placement in the field with his desire to position Martinez Steel as the rebar subcontractor of choice. During his relatively short time in sales, Jose has strategically utilized technology, data and metrics to drive bid activity, while focused on maintaining and developing relationships with General Contractor partners.

Jose is dedicated to work, but also finds time to travel, usually to a lake, beach, or river destination, with his wife and two daughters.
